Located on the half-timbered road "Vom Lahntal zum Rheingau", Limburg, with its extraordinary structure, plays an important role in the number of German half-timbered towns. The historic old town, surrounded by a city wall completed around 1230 and laid down in 1818, has been preserved almost intact to this day. Largely spared from catastrophes and world wars, impressive buildings from many centuries can be viewed here and make Limburg one of the most popular excursion destinations in Hesse.

In addition, Limburg and its surroundings offer a wonderful backdrop for hiking, cycling and water walks.

The employees of the Tourist information Limburg will be happy to help. For example, you can book a city tour here.
